Lyn Collins, who did some very hot sides for James Brown's People label, has died. If you're not hip to her stuff, start with her supremely funky "Think (About It)," later sampled by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock for "It Takes Two."
Also no longer living is Danny Joe Brown, lead singer of Molly Hatchet. I've always loved the hit "Flirtin' with Disaster," later given an effective cover treatment by, of all people, Marshall Crenshaw.
