Is the theme from HBO's Deadwood inspired by Parliament's "Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker)"?
For comparison, here's the Parliament song (note where they sing "You've got a real type of thing going down, gettin' down/There's a whole lot of rhythm going 'round"). And here's the Deadwood theme. (By the way, this cocksucker of a show is so compulsively rentable, clerks at my neighborhood DVD store call it "video crack.")
