Gumby turns 50

A new art exhibit titled "Gumby and Friends: The First 50 Years" is the opening salvo in a planned year-long resurrection of the bendable little green guy created by animator Art Clokey (who, at 83, will be right there collecting his royalties). Also planned are a DVD set of the '80s TV shows, a new video game and another exhibit at the Musuem of the Movable Image. It's doubtful, however, that any of these new projects will include this candid pic of Gumby and his best friend.
