Built to Spill headline Saturday's Finnegans ShamROCK 2008
The daylong festival runs 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the outdoor space between the Cabooze and Whiskey Junction. During the day there will be street performances, competitions, food, and Finnegans Irish Amber on tap. Live music will be local, featuring Romantica, A Night In the Box, Jim Cessna’s Auto Club, and Ol’ Yeller, with Built to Spill taking the stage around 8:30 p.m.
It may sound crazy, but Finnegans is a 501c3 non–profit beer company, meaning all proceeds are donated to charity. For the second year in a row they are throwing an outdoor music festival in to aid local charities. This year will raise funds for Heading Home Hennepin, which strives to end homelessness in Minneapolis and Hennepin County over the next ten years. All beer proceeds from the event will benefit the organization.
