Summer camp for cool kids

This August, MacPhail Center for Music is putting together a 5–day hip hop camp for kids age 13–19. Held at the Plymouth Christian Youth Center in north Minneapolis, children will work together to write lyrics, sample tracks, and create their own tunes using computers, imagination, and help from local rappers, spoken word artists, and DJs including Tish Jones, Desdamona, Terrell Woods, and TruthMaze. The camp will culminate in a performance at Capri Theater.
