Alice turns 150, throws a wonderful party
This Saturday Stevens Square Center for the Arts (1905 Third Ave. S.) will host an opening party in celebration of their latest show, "The Alice Project: An Installation of Curious Proportions". Those that enter the fantastical world can partake in whimsical activities including chess croquet, view Alice–inspired films and memorabilia, gawk at the costumed characters (or be one yourself), enjoy art by about a dozen artists, and hit up the cash bar (or enjoy the free flavored teas and Eden Pizza).
The opening night party runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a $3 suggested donation. "The Alice Project: An Installation of Curious Proportions" will disappear like the Cheshire cat after August 17.
