Minneapolis Named 11th Best City for Singles; Where Will They Be This Weekend?
In naming Minneapolis the 11th best city for singles, CNN Money cites that 46.3 of its population is single, it's the most literate city in the nation, and it has First Avenue. All valid points. By comparison, the no. 1 city on the list, Hoboken, NJ, was lauded for having more bars per capita than any other city the country. Interesting. Here are five things likely to be chock full of singles on the prowl looking for love or something less permanent this weekend.
FRIDAY
The self-appointed king of local cable access will be up his usual antics at this filming of three episodes of his show. Guests will include channel 9's longtime anchor Robyn Robinson. There will be drinking, comedy, and a video camera, how could singles stay away?
If you're a single of the Christian variety, make an appearance at the Fallout Center's annual artistic bonanza. There will be live music and FREE food, plus hands-on arts workshops.
