Minneapolis Named 11th Best City for Singles; Where Will They Be This Weekend?

In naming Minneapolis the 11th best city for singles, CNN Money cites that 46.3 of its population is single, it's the most literate city in the nation, and it has First Avenue. All valid points. By comparison, the no. 1 city on the list, Hoboken, NJ, was lauded for having more bars per capita than any other city the country. Interesting. Here are five things likely to be chock full of singles on the prowl looking for love or something less permanent this weekend.

ArtCar: Cruise and Drive-in Movie Intermedia Arts 2822 Lyndale Ave. S Minneapolis, Sat., July 19, 6:00pm-10:30pm free

Is there anything more romantic than a drive-in movie? Well, probably, but they're still fun. This drive-in isn't your typical one though. Art Cars from around the cities will converge in the Intermedia Arts parking lot to view the 1992 documentary Wild Wheels about, appropriately enough, art cars. One better place to test compatibility with another single than from the comfort of your own bizarrely decorated van?
