Ol' Yeller face same fate as fictional dog of same name

Local rock band Ol' Yeller have announced that their show on Saturday, July 26 at the Uptown Bar will be their last. (Insert crappy take-'em-out-back-and-shoot-'em joke here.) According to frontman Rich Mattson, Ol' Yeller will disband but the musicians will keep working on separate projects, including a new project led by Mattson called The Tisdales.


"All of the guys who played in Ol' Yeller are all still great friends to me and we'll find things to do in the future, maybe with guitars, maybe without," writes Mattson. "Maybe with power tools. Maybe with paddles and fishing rods. Probably with a beer."
