Party like it's 1994

Have you ever wanted to see Mary Kate Olsen make out with Ben Kingsley? Yeah, I thought so. Check out this special screening of The Wackness tomorrow evening.

This Saturday the Uptown Theatre (2906 Hennepin Ave. S.) will screen the flick at 7:15 and 9:45, with a 1994–themed party 45 minutes prior each screening featuring nostalgia–inducing hip hop tunes from 93–94 spun by DJ Plain Ole Bill, dancers, and giveaways.

The Wackness is set in 1994 New York, and tells a bittersweet coming of age tale about a young high school student, played by Josh Peck, who deals weed to his psychiatrist (Kingsley). Before you roll your eyes at that trite indie description, the flick has received some warm reviews, and the cast, which includes Famke Janssen, Mary Kate Olsen, and Method Man sounds intriguing.
