Leave town for a week, become suffused with political thought (and pepper spray), and suddenly a great show almost slips past you. Tonight at the Fitz is the Provention Concert, featuring headliner Nellie McKay along with local talent like Haley Bonar, Dan Wilson, Maria Isa and Jeremy Messersmith.
A show with an activist bent, Provention has certain ideals in mind. Showstopping cabaret/pop/you name it artist McKay is a City Pages favorite, with good reason.
