Coachella music festival dates announced

Everybody's favorite music festival, Coachella, just announced its 2009 dates. Mega-huge promoter Goldenvoice confirmed the dates for this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on Monday morning. The festival will be held the weekend of April 17 - 19 at Empire Polo field in Indio, Calif. The music festival first debuted in 1999 and has a reputation of bringing together music heads of all flavors.

Unfortunately, we're not sure who is playing the festival quite yet, but will let you know when we hear! Previous headliners have included Beastie Boys, Portishead, Prince, and Rage Against The Machine, the fest also setting the stage for the now-infamous Daft Punk performance in 2006.
