Over the Weekend: October 3-5, 2008

Here's a quick recap of the shows we caught this weekend, complete with links to the full reviews and slideshows:

Weezer rocked the Xcel Center Friday night. Things we learned: Rivers Cuomo is still sporting that goofy mustache, and Weezer fans are still treated to a stellar live show despite their less-than-stellar recent recorded output. Over in Minneapolis, Ani DiFranco played the State Theatre (check out my full review and a photo slideshow by Steve Cohen), while all the hipsters headed to the VIP Room at First Avenue for Get Cryphy.

On Saturday night, Pat O'Brien headed over to the Main Room at First Avenue for Liz Phair, who played her entire Exile in Guyville album from front-to-back. Read Pat's full review here.
