Boris, Clouds, and Zebulon Pike at the Triple Rock
The latest experimental rock act to become deservedly aggrandized by Trent Reznor's visionary tour plans, the Tokyo-based protean three piece Boris is hot off the Target Center stage, where they wowed a capacity crowd on Tuesday night in an opening slot for Nine Inch Nails.
Their songs are among the heaviest and most oppressive on the musical Periodic Table, and their fans are highly encouraged to turn out early to see local heroes Zebulon Pike open the show. Proving that "proggy" is no purjorative, their lengthy opuses are hypnotic and woozy executions of guitar wizardry. Not to be missed.
Friday November 29. Triple Rock Social Club. 21+. 9:00 P.M. $13.00 advance/ $15.00
