Those looking to check out a variety of art, from sculpture to video to paintings and photography should check out Grain Belt's Holiday Gala. The event kicks off Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. when artists open their studios for art viewings, screenings, and live music. Performers slated to add to the ambience include Peter Lochner, the Vicious Alive, and Eliza Blue.
The open gallery holiday event is free the whole weekend. Saturday hours are noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday events run noon to 4 p.m. The Grain Belt Bottling House is a triumph of historic preservation, and is located at 79 13th Avenue N.E. in Minneapolis.
