This Saturday marks the opening of "We Know What We Did Last Summer," a poster retrospective of Burlesque of North America's prolific 2008.
If you live in the Twin Cities, you are probably aware of or have at least seen the design collective's work. Their colorful Obama posters covered business windows in Minneapolis during the election. They have designed and printed countless rock and hip-hop concert posters, including Doomtree, the Melvins, Heiruspecs, and even posters for MGMT gigs in Los Angeles and New York. They've also had a hand in several CD and album packages, most recently P.O.S.'s Never Better.

Check out their year in art when the show opens this Saturday, January 31, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at First Amendment Arts (1101 Stinson Blvd., Minneapolis; 612.379.4151). Some posters will even be "broken down" into multiple stages so that you can check out how shapes and colors come together into a complex image. The show runs through March 24.
