St. Paul Almanac 2010 call for submissions

There are many ways that St. Paul trumps Minneapolis. St. Paul is the capitol city, where the RNC wreaked (memorable and historic) havoc this year. It hosts the State Fair, home of the delicious fried products on a stick. And they have their own almanac.
But these are all obvious things. Perhaps you have a story to tell about an obscure St. Paul business, or have penned a love letter to your hometown, or you have a fun prediction of things to come. Now is your opportunity to submit your thoughts and experiences for the 2010 St. Paul Almanac.

Those with something to say about St. Paul are invited to submit stories and poems of 600 words or less. Suggested topics include St. Paul after midnight, immigrant experiences, humorous weather forecasts, childhood memories, and Winter Carnival experiences. But really, anything that inspires you is game.

To learn more about the yearly project, visit www.saintpaulalmanac.com. Works accepted for publication will receive a stipend. Submissions can be emailed to editor@saintpaulalmanac.com. The deadline is March 31, 2009.
