MNFashion week is scheduled for mid-April. Never heard of it? MNFW is an event planned by non-profit MNFashion to showcase local talent while also raising funds for community art programs.
The seven-day festival runs from April 20 to April 26, and will feature runway shows, live music, parties, workshops, art events, and other colorful, and fashionable happenings. Fun events include runway and trunk shows by local designers (many have been featured this year at First Ave.'s Fashion Feud night), a clothing swap at the Textile Center, and the always entertaining fashion bike ride. Voltage: Fashion Amplified is probably the most notorious event of the week. It will go down Friday, April 24 at First Avenue and will features fashion and live music including Maria Isa, Lucy Michelle & the Velvet Lapelles, Gospel Gossip, First Communion Afterparty, and many others.
