Prince returned to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night for the second of three consecutive performances. There were no shout-outs to Minneapolis this time around, but as soon as he finished playing his solo Prince marched out into the audience and handed his guitar to a young man in the front row. Seemingly in shock, the guy held onto the guitar gingerly at first, and then raised it above his head as the crowd cheered him on. The guitar was presumably collected by Prince's handlers as soon as the camera panned away, but those 30 seconds between the random dude and Prince's guitar must have been somethin' special.
Miraculously, the video from last night's performance is still online. Typically, Prince's lawyers are quick to snatch up any unauthorized Purple content on the web, but they must be taking it easy to help Prince promote his new three CD-set, which is officially released this Sunday at Target.
