When I profiled founding Jayhawks members Mark Olson and Gary Louris last month, both Olson and Louris hinted at the possibility of a full-blown 'Hawks reunion in Minneapolis this year. According to a Jayhawks page on Pollstar, the band has two gigs booked for this year: one at the end of May in Spain (where they also reunited last fall for a show), and one in Minneapolis at the Basilica Block Party on July 10.

This is exciting news for local Jayhawks fans (of which there are probably more per capita than any other city, judging from last month's sold out Olson/Louris shows at the Varsity). The last time the Jayhawks played with both Olson and Louris in Minnneapolis was in October of 1995, when they opened for Bob Dylan at the Target Center.
