Femi Kuti, PJ Harvey and Soul Asylum to rock the Zoo this summer
Tina & the B-Sides? Tower of Power?! The Bo Deans?!! When did the Minnesota Zoo become the requisite hot spot for heyday bands you've been dying to get a chance to see?
Today, the Minnesota Zoo released the line up for Music in the Zoo, the annual summer concert series that has been turning their outdoor amphitheater into our own little Red Rock West for the last decade or so. And this year's line-up sees more than a little mad scientist mixing, with bands local and national, active and resurrected, peppering the mix.
We all have fond memories of taking ill advised liberties with our chemistry set in the basement as misbehaving children-- here's hoping this year's line-up results in a few unexpected stains and explosions in the big stage on the pond.
