The Guthrie is looking to pay for a $60,000 wedding

Are times financially tough you, but the love is still strong? Have you always dreamed of having a fancy wedding that you didn't have to pay for? Do you want to get married by actor Peter Michael Goetz? Really? Wow, what a strange coincidence. The Guthrie is here to make all your dreams come true.

The rules are simple: Create a three to five-minute video where you and your betrothed let the love shine and explain why you want to get married at the Guthrie. Upload it to YouTube (no XTube clips, please) and submit a link via the entrance form. The deadline for entries is June 30 by 5 p.m. The top five entrants will be chosen by the Guthrie, and then be posted on mspmag.com and metromix.com from July 6-12 where the public will deem whether or not you are worthy of the $60,000 wedding.

If you win, you will be wed this summer on Sunday, August 16 at 6 p.m. at the Guthrie's Wurtele Thrust Stage. You will be married by Guthrie veteran and Father of the Bride actor Peter Michael Goetz. Your guests, up to 150, will then enjoy food and drinks at the Dowling Studio. Floral arrangements, invitations, tuxes, wedding bands, photography and videography, and the wedding gown will all be provided by local businesses. The wedding night spent at aloft minneapolis and the honeymoon at the Radisson St. Martin Resort.
