Trocaderos nightclub closed suddenly

• Ah, even though im posting this years after they closed...im glad I get to say something. I lived down the st from them. This was the last place I would go for food/drinks/fun. Any staff that sticked around till the end are morons. U all knew the day was coming. Blame the person in the mirror. Im glad to c this place gone. Bad food, bad drinks, bad management. Always empty for every event.

• Re: The Other Side: The employees that were left when Troc's closed were the employees that stuck by that place when it went to shits...so I would have to say that they should have been given a heads up or at least the last paycheck...afterall, they did work. Obviously you are just as ridiculous as the Saxons, which explains why you are friends with them. Some Ppl relied on Troc's as their primary income, not just a job on the weekends. Put yourself in someone else's shoes.

• Before judging anyone you should know the entire story! I know the "Saxon's" and stand behind their decision 100% (as if all employees give a notice, most just up and leave why do you feel you are owed a notice!) There are plenty of waitstaff positions open in MN.

• I am more sad to see people lose their money than I am to see the place close. While not well run, it was not horrible, mediocre at best. They thought decor would take them over the top. Inspiration, perspiration, good management, and a flair for customer service can go a long way on the path to success, even though a nice decor and impressive architecture won't hurt. Some may wonder how one goes into hiding after taking money from people while knowing the place will be closed, and the event will not take place. I suppose bankruptcy lawyersknow their way around it.... maybe. Pretty shady dealingsat best. You can run, but, eventually, you can't hide. You probably have to skip on to the next town.

• F%$% Trocaderos! that place sucked,where do i begin? the over priced drinks? crap menu? steep parking? dorky events? shady management? or the fact they RAN OFF on their employees? talk about bad buisness... these guys are on the TOP of the list. An example of HOW NOT2 RUN A CLUB.good riddance

• Re: Nate I�m glad someone had a great experience with Jeff. I tried working with him on an event and it was impossible he just rambles and argues with everything. I�m a corporate event planner and I have worked with venues all over downtown and I have never seen anything like it. After trying to talk to him about my last event, I had decided to simply never go back.

• They closed without letting any of the management or employees know! We showed up to work to find that we had no job left! Many of us have tried, to no avail to get in contact with the Saxons to find out if we would be getting our last paycheck and heard nothing back after numurous emails and calls. We understand that these are tough economic times but they could've at least let us know they were closing the doors!

• Thank goodness these crass unscrupulous clowns are gone. Bad staff, food, ideas, etc. Ugh.

• I am sad to see Trocadero's close. I have had many great events there, both as a performing musician, and as an event producer/promoter. I had great experiences with the staff of Trocadero's; when things at one of my events didn't go as planned, they more than made up for it with service and personal touch at my next event (my patrons had no idea that things weren't the way I wanted them, it was all behind the scenes). Special thanks to Jeff there for going above and beyond in customer service, you were the reason I came back again and again. My sympathies to those who were negatively affected by this closing, it's a tough world in the entertainment/service business; some make it, some don't. RIP Troc's, thanks for the memories. • Trocs would totally do that, too. It always raped its customers for money on even the lesser-known artists it brought in. It doesn't surprise me that they never returned money to organizations for booking when they closed.... They're a bunch of snooty bitches--I'm glad their gone and I can save my money seeing artists at other venues.

• My heart really goes out to the non-profits who had put down deposits for events at Trocs and found out (via Facebook) that not only would they need to find a new venue, but that they wouldn't be getting their money back, either.

• not my favorite venue in town. won't miss it at all.

• I'll do a few Hail Marys and Our Fathers for the demise of Club 3 Degrees. I know, it's a Catholic thing, and Mac Hammond is a not of that persuasion. But I'm sure he will find another vehicle to pay for his mansions and planes.
