Freddy Fresh joins faculty at McNally Smith

It was recently announced the St. Paul DJ/producer Freddy Fresh is set to join the staff at the McNally Smith College of Music's hip-hop diploma program. This is the first accredited program of its kind in the U.S.

Freddy Fresh, a heavy hitter on the rap music scene since the '80s, has worked with major artists including Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaattaa, Fat Boy Slim, and Eminem. He has released 11 solo albums and over 150 singles throughout his prolific career, as well as two book editions.

He will be joining community leader and rap artist Toki Wright, along with Dessa Darling (Doomtree), Joe Mabbott (Atmosphere), and Sean McPherson (Heiruspecs). Fall semester classes begin September 3.  For more info visit www.mcnallysmith.edu.
