It's a good weekend for those looking for free food, free music, free movies, and fashion.


FRIDAY:

CRAVE Sushi Demo

Normally, I would tell people to stay far away from the MOA on the weekend. However, this event sounds pretty cool. Friday and Saturday sushi lovers and the sushi curious can take this half-hour mini-course from Chef Tony Lam on the basics of sushi. Watch sushi making demonstrations, try samples, learn the basic lingo, pick up ordering tips, and take a chopsticks crash course. Classes are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Wants Vs. Needs

This dance party will feature sets by DJs Petey Wheatstraw, So Gold!, Anton, and Espada. Dance till you drop, chill on the patio, and score a free t-shirt. 21+. 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Palmfest

Spend the day at this awesome dive bar, which is over 100 years old. Performers include Knotwells, Cadillac vs. Cornbread, Chooglin', Spider John Koerner, Fuck Knights, and more. Noon to 2 a.m.

The Wrestling Show

Check out wrestling-inspired art at this public reception from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

CHAT's 8th Annual Hmong Art and Music Festival

This festival will feature Hmong art, dance, music, youth art, games, vendors, resources, and food. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Red Stag Block Party

St. George Greek Festival
