Gospel Gossip tonight in Loring Park

​We're sending out a couple hundred Picked to Click ballots today, which means that it's been almost a year since Lucy Michelle & the Velvet Lapelles and Gospel Gossip competed neck and neck for the top slot in last year's best-new-band poll. Since that time, both bands have flourished locally, with Lucy Michelle gigging nonstop and Gospel Gossip releasing a fantastic EP, Dreamland, earlier this summer. You can catch the latter band tonight at Summer Movies & Music in Loring Park, a free event that seems to increase in popularity every year. Get there early--music starts at 7 p.m., and we're guessing there's going to be a big crowd for the screening of Cool Hand Luke.
