"Hi, home!" Slug proclaimed as he bounded on stage for last night's all-ages show at First Avenue. The king of local hip-hop was in a great mood as he worked through a lengthy set, pausing several times to tell the audience, "Man, it is so easy to love you."

The momentum slowed a bit in the middle of Atmosphere's regular set, as they grouped together several same-tempo electro-based songs from his latest album, but the energy came back up during the encore (with a whopping seven songs) as they returned to a variety of their older material and Slug even did some freestyling.
