ICP or Health? The age old choice awaits
On one side stands Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent Jay-- arguably the most hated, derided, self-embarrassed men in modern music.
On the other stands the L.A. noise rock four piece, a fury of hair and pink noise.
Between them stands about a foot of black brick and an unbridgable gulf of culture.
So what'll it be, readers?
One thing is for certain-- Health is probably groaning in their bedrolls right now at the thought of sharing a venue with Insane Clown Posse and a few thousand juggalos, however far apart the separate stages might be. It could even be alleged that the ICP show, which should be wrapping up on the First Avenue Main Room stage just as doors are opening for the Health show at the Entry, could injure Health's draw.
And who could blame them? Juggalos are known for getting high, jacked up on Faygo, and beating the shit out of each other. Health fans are known for wearing girl jeans and sunglasses at night. If it came to blows between the two fan bases, Health would be out of work within minutes.
In our time commenting at a distance on the local music scene, we've rarely seen such a sharp contrast between an Entry show and a Main Room show happening on the same night. So take heed, readers, and rock the vote. Which will we be at? You'll have to check in tomorrow morning.
