Are your walls bare? Or are you tired of looking at that boring Monet poster you bought in college ten years ago? Perhaps you are looking to purchase some interesting coffee table books for less than the price of a beer? You need to check out these cool weekend sales events. No, they are not at Macy's.

Burlesque Factory Sale
(1101 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis)

Much like a car dealership, the print artists over at Burlesque of North America are looking to clear out merchandise to make room for 2010 art. Check out scratch-and-dent posters (with errors so small you'll never know), test prints, t-shirts, and CDs at 10-75% off.  The event is Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

Not familiar with their work? Check out there blog at burlesquedesign.com.

Renegade Book Sale
(Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE, Minneapolis)

They'll be books at this event. And not just the leftover dregs like you find at some library sales. Check out vintage, art, rare, philosophy books--even technical manuals this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oh yeah, and there will also be CDs and DVDs. Host Paul D. Dickenson claims that the highest priced object is an astounding $2. Seriously!

Check out the Facebook page for the event here.
