This week for Freeloader Friday we've got things to do for zombies, vampires, artists, and people who are feeling randy. Sounds like a party.

FRIDAY:

First Be Excellent to Each Other Fundraiser
(501 Club, 501 Washington Ave. S., Minneapolis, 612.338.3848)

Yes, the idea is to donate a little money at this event. But even if you don't have cash to give you can just stop in and learn a little about the Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and Child's Play, a charity that gives video game systems to children's hospitals. Enter to play in the Rock Band contest, check out items in the silent auction, and dance to tunes spun by DJ Jake Rudh. 21+. 7 p.m.

The Comedy Corner Open Mic Night
(Club Underground, 355 NE Monroe St., Minneapolis, 612.627.9123, www.clubunderground.us)

In a town with bars that charge $15 or more per show, free comedy is a rare gem. 10 p.m.

Front Porch Swingin' Liquor Pigs
(Palmer's Bar, 500 S. Cedar Ave., Minneapolis; 612.333.7625)

The popular local blues group play a set tonight. 7 p.m.
