​Who knew one little Sanyo boombox would wreak so much havoc on one household in the mid-'90s, when two bands reigned supreme over the hallways in my parents' suburban oasis: the Beastie Boys and the Cranberries. The latest re-run of NYPD Blue was interrupted night after night by either super nasal party rap or Dolores O'Riordan's very specific Irish yodel. I suddenly have an unrelenting urge to hit Hallmark for a sappy thank-you card. While I do that, please enjoy six of the bands' best tracks in emphatic order as a short preview to their reunion tour stopping by First Avenue on Nov. 30.
