It's about time someone held a party in Minneapolis to celebrate the lip-hugging facial decoration known as the mustache (seen in an exemplary glory on Tom Selleck, right).

This weekend, on November 20, one of the city's old party promoters (formerly known as Teopelli Productions), finally gets back in the game and what better way than spotlighting the oft underappreciated 'stache.

According to the Facebook invite:

"We have decided to have an event to celebrate and, yes, maybe poke a little fun at the mustache.

So come one come all to Stachefest, a costume contest right in the center of your face!

2-for-1s for the first hour with your (real or fake) mustache! Prizes will be awarded to the best real and fake mustaches of the evening.
