Cam Waters found dead
From Chris Riemenschneider's obit in today's Strib:
The blues/folk picker had no shortage of gigs over the past two months, ranging from an arts fundraiser hosted by Garrison Keillor at Zumbrota's historic State Theater to a regular stint at the rugged Minneapolis West Bank watering hole Palmer's Bar. He continued to impress audiences and peers with his guitar-playing skills and songwriting talent up until the end.Within modern folk and blues circles, Waters' name was synonymous for many with the uniquely American melodies of National steel guitar. A gifted songwriter and an industrious worker, Cam Waters struggled with life-long emotional problems. No cause of death has yet been given. Waters is survived by his wife, Trudy Waters, whom he married just over two months ago. He was 51 years old.
