Cedar announces Haiti benefit show

​A few days ago we announced the first of what will likely be a recurring trend of Haiti benefit shows with the Nomad's Hip Hop for Haiti benefit, taking place tomorrow night. The Cedar Cultural Center has announced its own last-minute Haiti benefit show today, which will take place this Friday night, featuring Viviana Pintado, Maria Isa, and many more. Proceeds from this weekend's eclectic benefit will go to Doctors Without Borders.

Here's some additional information we received from the Cedar:

A group of local musicians, dancers and visual artists have banded together to host a fundraiser for the victims of the recent earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The event will begin at 6pm on Friday, January 22nd, at The Cedar Cultural Center. Food will be catered by Victor's 1959 CaféThe French Meadow, among others.

There will be an art auction with work by Víctor Yépez and Bernardo Guzmán.

All door, art and food sale proceeds will go directly to Doctors Without Borders / Medicins Sans Frontieres Emergency Relief Fund.
