​If you read Gimme Noise and the music section of City Pages, chances are that the bands on the bill for this year's Best New Bands showcase at First Avenue will sound familiar -- we've given each of these groups quite a bit of ink in the past few months, and some of them were featured in our Picked to Click poll. But chances are also good that our readers haven't seen all seven of these acts live, and we want to help you close that gap between what you've read and what you've experienced live.
