Har Mar Superstar to play WAMplified

This past December the Weisman Museum hosted the inaugural WAMplified!, an event mixing art, live music, video games, and drinks into one big party. The musical act was indie duo Mates of State, and tickets sold out. The next installment will feature a visit from Har Mar Superstar. WAMplified! pairs musicians thematically with the art currently on display at the space. This shindig will celebrate "Sense: Art and the Quotidian," an show exploring the life how our everyday ways of life can be used to challenge the meaning of modern art. With songs about drunk texting, drinking canned beer, and borrowing your brother's van in hopes to get laid, we daresay Har Mar Superstar will be a good musical fit for the evening.

The party will be Saturday, April 3 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The event will also include a videogame lounge, food and drink, and a midnight tour. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 22 and cost $18. Visit weisman.umn.edu or call 612.624.2345 for tickets.
