Rhymesayers in joining in the Haiti fundraising efforts with a massive show at
First Avenue on Tuesday, February 9. The event will be hosted by Slug and will feature performances by Brother Ali, Sage Francis & B. Dolan, Freeway & Jake One, I Self Divine, Sims, Toki Wright, Muja Messiah, BK One, DJ King Otto and Kevin Beacham. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday.
"This is one if the greatest tragedies of our lifetime," says headliner Brother Ali. "It's time for all of us to help the people and families who are suffering."
All proceeds from the show will benefit three charities:
Oxfam America,
Doctors Without Borders, and Wyclef Jean's
Yele Haiti foundation.
