Voltage: Fashion Amplified announces 2010 lineup

Once again Voltage: Fashion Amplified will serve as the crown jewel of Spring MNFashion week, a city-wide extravaganza loaded with trunk shows, runway parties, workshops, sales, and other fun shenanigans. The event is set for April 16 at First Avenue.
Part fashion show, part concert gig, the event is notable for its interesting premise: Each year local fashion designers are teamed up with local musicians in an event that looks as good as it sounds. This year's lineup will include folksy Caroline Smith and the Goodnight Sleeps styled by Calpurina Peach, big-voiced rocker Mayda paired with Laura Fulk, rock duo the Red Pens with Red Shoe Clothing Co., Blue Sky Blackout styled by Steven Kang of Blackblue, and Ruby Isle wearing threads by print design artists Anthem Heart.

Leading up to the big events in April will be a series of workshops, as well as Voltage Rock Shows, which will feature bands and musicians from previous years. It will be held at the 501 Club the first Sunday of each month February through April.
