Gimme Shelter: A Benefit for Haiti Promo from Anthem Heart A/V on Vimeo.

We're just three days away from the big benefit we've organized with First Avenue and a bevy of local artists and musicians. This Saturday, February 6, Gimme Shelter aims to raise money for those suffering in Haiti after last month's massive earthquake. A lot has transpired since we booked Solid Gold, Mark Mallman, Zoo Animal, Peter Wolf Crier, Jimmy2Times and Mike2600 to play the gig:

  • Buy art (and t-shirts!) from locals who will give more than 50% of the proceeds from the artist marketplace to The American Red Cross Haiti Relief And Development Fund and/or Architecture For Humanity. Involved artists include Anthem Heart, Dwitt, Chuck U and more.
  • Radio K and The Current have both become involved and will have booths at the show as well
  • We're welcoming some very special surprise guests with ties to Haiti
  • We're auctioning off a few really great signed items

Special thanks and shout out to MPLS.TV and Dave from Anthem Heart who made the promo vid. Set times after the jump.

"$12 is cheap for this show and it's all going to help people who need it way more than any of us do. Plus, you can rock out and still be in bed by 11, you precious, precious princess."
