We had a blast throwing our Gimme Shelter benefit for Haiti last weekend at First Avenue, and now we are pleased to announce the results of everyone's hard work: After adding up the proceeds from ticket sales, an art auction, and donations from Gimme Shelter attendees and our publisher, we have raised nearly $6,500 for Haiti relief.

Ticket sales and donations raised approximately $4,500, artists raised approximately $1000, and City Pages publisher Mark Bartel contributed $1,000 to the fundraising efforts. The net proceeds are being split equally between two charities: The Red Cross Haiti Relief & Development Fund and Architecture for Humanity.

We consider this a great success, and there are so many people that we need to thank. Here's a rundown of people that were involved in our charity show, we couldn't have done it without them!

Performers: Mark Mallman, Solid Gold, Peter Wolf Crier, Zoo Animal, Jimmy2Times, and Mike 2600.

Artists: Rogue Citizen, Anthem Heart, Garrett Perry, Jesse Draxler, Matteo.Kelli, DWitt, Erica Boyles, and Chuck U.

Sponsors: Radio K, the Current, First Avenue, and City Pages.

And special thanks to MPLS.TV, who created a promo video for the event as well as this great recap video:
