KFAI seeking listener feedback about programming

​News has been circulating lately that KFAI, an eclectic, homegrown radio station positioned on the West Bank, has suffered a decline in listenership and is reassessing its programming to determine what its listeners want out of the station. While no official decisions have been made, a few music DJs on the station have already expressed concern that KFAI might choose to shift to entirely informational programming, and emails like the one below have begun working their way through the roots and folk music community, a segment of the local music population that rarely receives airplay on other stations.

I don't usually do these kind of emails, but I feel this subject is worth our attention.
There is currently talk that management at KFAI-FM are considering changing the station format to all news and information. They are looking for feedback from listeners to help with their decision-making process. Please go to http://www.kfai.org and take the survey, and answer the questions as the music-lover you are. It will take less than 10 minutes, and will go a long way in convincing the management that music is a vital part of the station's programming. We have plenty of news and information on MPR/NPR, and other media outlets. The music on KFAI cannot be found anywhere else!
