Gayngs finally release first preview track (mp3)

​Aside from their excruciatingly short teaser videos, the Midwestern supergroup Gayngs (featuring Bon Iver, Solid Gold, Megafaun, P.O.S, and many more, which we previously reported on here) has yet to release anything substantial in the form of a preview -- until today. The Current is offering the first Gayngs single, "The Gaudy Side of Town," as their Song of the Day today, and will be broadcasting it on air at 10 a.m.

Immediately identifiable contributors on this track include Zach Coulter of Solid Gold and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver on vocals, as well as Mike Lewis on sax, and likely countless others on backing vocals and instrumentation. Download the mp3 below, and get ready for the Gayngs double-play at First Avenue on May 14.
