Pavement announce St. Paul date

Though it's not until September, local Pavement fans will likely start getting in line for tickets any minute now: The long broken-up indie rock pioneers have reunited for a world tour and will stop in St. Paul at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium on September 12. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, March 6, and are priced at $35.50.

While it's not our favorite place to catch rock shows -- the open space gives louder music a boomy feel and makes it hard to feel close to the band -- it's likely an appropriately sized venue for what will be a popular show.
