Zoo Animal to release new album June 1

​Minimalist rock trio Zoo Animal, who placed second in last year's Picked to Click poll, have announced the long-anticipated follow-up to their 2008 debut. Zoo Animal will be released on June 1 through local DIY label Rest + Noise, and the band will play a release show May 28.

Fans of the group's brooding, gripping live show will recognize many of the tracks on Zoo Animal, listen to a few preview tracks here:



Zoo Animal will play a CD-release show with Red Pens, His and Her Vanities, and Hildur Victoria on May 28 at the 7th St. Entry.
