Mark Olson to release solo album this summer

​Jayhawks fans have a lot to celebrate in the coming months: In addition to reissuing the out-of-print The Jayhawks album on May 18, the band will reunite with lead singers Mark Olson and Gary Louris to play three nights at First Ave June 19-21, and Olson will release a new solo album later this year. We don't have additional details about Olson's release quite yet, save for an announcement he made on his Facebook page over the weekend that it was due out on Ryko this summer.

In other news, The Jayhawks reissue is already available for pre-order on Amazon, and tickets for the First Ave shows are on sale now.
