Outtakes from the Jeremy Messersmith photo shoot

​In order to get the right shot for today's cover story on Jeremy Messersmith -- who requested that we represent his face in an abstract, nontraditional manner -- we tried a few different angles. Some worked, and some did not. Here are the outtakes that didn't make the cut for this week's paper. All photos are by our art director Nick Vlcek.
