Mos Def announces show at the Guthrie on August 23

​In an odd and possibly great announcement this morning, the Guthrie Theater's Wurtele Thrust Stage is presenting Mos Def on August 23rd. We say odd because of the obvious choice for such a show, First Ave's Mainroom, is the polar opposite of the Guthrie's intimate stage; the next show booked there is legendary acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke. And possibly great because well, it could be a great show.

Neither his company or official website/Myspace page are very useful in ascertaining any information about his schedule, though Talib Kweli's Twitter page this morning announced a Black Star show on August 7th at San Francisco's Fox Theater if you were feeling too lucky for a second.
