FRIDAY
MNOriginal celebrates its launch with a free show in Mears Park this evening, featuring performances by Nachito Herrera, Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps, and the Mad Ripple Hootenanny. 5 PM, all ages, free.
First Ave hosts Bassgasm 2, a 5-room DJ event featuring some of the best in local and national DJ talent (read our interviews with headliners Terry Mullan and Tommy Sunshine here). 5 PM doors 18+ $15 advance $20 at the door.
Telepathos have their CD-release with Red Pens, Kill to Kill, and Is/Is at the Hexagon, 9 PM, 21+, totally free.
Near legendary Chicago pop-punk band Screeching Weasel is playing a sold-out Triple Rock show, all ages. The $20 (I remember when you could see these guys for $5!) you aren't spending can go to their second show on Saturday night, also at Triple Rock.
SATURDAY
Local comic book/zine keystone and former Low bassist Zak Sally (read our interview with him here) hosts the La Mano "2nd ANNUAL REPORT" with Camden, Pink Teeth, Noise Quean Ant, Tunneler, Marijuana Deathsquads, Arctic Universe, and Gay Witch Abortion at Eclipse Records - 5pm $6 AA.
Palmfest 2010 once again shakes the whole of the West Bank with some of the best in rock and folk, featuring Chooglin', Book of Right On, Fuck Knights, Spider John Koerner and many more at Palmer's. Totally FREE, music starts at noon
The Racktacular Breast Cancer Benefit takes over the Turf Club with an art bra contest and performances by Communist Daughter, Alpha Consumer, and Lili's Burlesque Review. 21+, 9:00 PM doors, $10.

SUNDAY
