Bone Thugs-N-Harmony bringing 'E. 1999 Eternal' to the Mainroom
Everyone and their mom has jimmy-jammed to "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," "1st of Tha Month," and teared up at "Tha Crossroads" - all of them hard-hitting singles, all off that 1995 record that ended up selling over ten million records. Ya: serious business. The album was named in honor of Eazy-E's Eternal E, which Bone still pay forward to on an aural and cultural debt (not to mention their first record contract was instigated by that diminutive West Coast troublemaker). But it also marked the beginning of the end for them, as infighting simmered and disappointment at the reception of their follow-up Art of War two years later made the resulting fault lines prove fatal, at least for a while. Now with their lineup back in place, they are hitting the road, and we will hopefully see them smooth and coordinated (not exactly a guarantee with a lot of reunions). And 'dro'd.
