Filter Magazine pays homage to the Replacements' Let it Be

filtercover-250.jpg
The September issue of Filter Magazine will feature a Replacements Let it Be tribute on its cover -- only in place of Paul, Bob, Tommy, and Chris, Filter arranged the cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on what they refer to as "an iconic indie rock rooftop," complete with a shirtless Danny Devito peering out the window.

What do you think: Cool tribute, or unabashed blasphemy?

Thanks to our friend Stacy for the heads up.

Update: This is not the only instance of art imitating life when it comes to the Replacements, though.

Next: More artistic interpretations featuring and inspired by the 'Mats.

The Replacements album cover would have been improved with a shirtless Danny Devito.
