The Glitch Mob kick off tour at First Avenue tonight

​It's such an ego stroke when tours start in our fair little city, especially when they feature tastemaking current acts like The Glitch Mob. Fresh off a run of European gigs, Justin, Ed and Josh are coming to First Avenue tonight to show us exactly how they cornered electronic music and beat it into submission. The trio's gearhead sound starts with big bass and weaves in gritty synth lines, topping it off with a hip-hop sensibility that's not fully realized but definitely felt. The guys released their first full-length, Drink The Sea, last month, and there were a few screwface-inducing moments including "Drive It Like You Stole It" and "Beyond Monday."
